Why Anambra Govt demolished the church owned by Prophet Odumeje of Indabosky

The Anambra State government has demolished the Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention and Deliverance Ministry, led by controversial Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, popularly known as Odumeje, in Onitsha for constituting obstruction.

The structure, located at Bida Road, off Creek Road, Fegge-Onitsha, was said to be erected along Nwagene stream and had to be removed for the actualisation of the Onitsha Urban Renewal Plan.

The Church building was in April 2022, earmarked for demolition by the Anambra State Physical Planning Board (ANSPPB).

According to the board, the church blocks water flow at the Nwangele-Bida drainage.

Odumeje is known for his theatrics and showmanship. Indaboski, as he is called by many, also has ties with Nollywood stars such as Rita Edochie, Harry B, and Jerry Amilo.
