Wizkid, Davido top list of 2022 richest musicians in Nigeria – here’s their worth

The Nigerian music industry has, over the years, earned its stripes as not only one of the most popular sectors in the entertainment sector across the world but one with a growing number of fans and also streams.

Singer Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun proudly known as Wizkid, is a singer and songwriter. The singer began his musical carrier at the age of 11 in a local church near his home, which he later joined a local band called the Glorious Five.

The singer met OJB Jezreel during his struggling days and he became his mentor. He then started visiting Jezreel’s studio watching and learning from the recordings by artists like 2 Face Idibia and Sound Sultan.

He travelled to BeirutLebanon, with Tiwa Savage for a Pepsi commercial shoot.

On 28 May 2013, Premium Times reported that Wizkid had signed a one-year deal with MTN Nigeria.

The newspaper also reported that Wizkid’s Pepsi contract was renewed for two more years.

 In November 2013, Wizkid signed an endorsement deal with Guinness for the Guinness World of More concert, held at the Eko Convention Centre of the Eko Hotel and Suites on Victoria Island, Lagos. 

In June 2015, Pulse Nigeria reported that Wizkid had left MTN and signed a ?128 million deal with GLO.

Wizkid is also a brand ambassador for United Bank for Africa, UBA.

David Adedeji Adeleke, Davido Net Worth is estimated at N15.5 Billion

David Adedeji Adeleke, who is better known as Davido, is an American-born Nigerian singer, songwriter and record producer. Davido was born in Atlanta, US, and raised in Lagos; he made his music debut as a member of the music group KB International.

His 2011 single “Dami Duro” was well-received throughout Nigeria. Along with his elder brother Adewale Adeleke, Davido is the co-owner of HKN Music (a record label home to Sina Rambo, B. Red and DeeKay) which he later left to form his own record label DMW.
