Grammy award-winning singer, Burna Boy, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has said that American singer, Toni Braxton, gets 60 per cent of revenue from his hit single, Last Last.

Burna Boy made this assertion in an interview with the hosts of the Million Dollar Worth of Game podcast, which was aired on Sunday. The singer revealed it was his idea to sample her music

He said, “It was actually my idea, to be honest. I just wanted to use that sample and I knew Chopstix could do something crazy with it. I just pointed that sh*t out, and he took it from there. That’s one of the most creative processes ever..

“But she is taking 60 per cent of the sh*t. I’m not complaining. Hopefully, she even comes out to one of the shows.”

Last Last is a song released in May 2022 by the Nigerian singer Burna Boy. The songs became immediately a huge success all over the world, accumulating millions of streams in less than a month. According to what normally people say in Nigeria, “last last” is means “ultimately”. The title of the song is mentioned in the first line of the intro:

As Burna Boy explained recently in an interview, to chop breakfast is a slang that refers to having a heartbreak. The song is about a painful disappointment the singer had on a sentimental relationship, and the message he wants to convey is that soon or later everybody has to feel that kind of pain.
