Who is Don Jazzy?

Don Jazzy whose real name is Micheal Collins Ajereh is a popular Nigerian record producer.

He was born in Umuahia, Abia State, Nigeria on the 26th of November 1982.

Don Jazzy is currently 39 years old and would be 40-year-old in November 2022.

He is the founder and CEO of Mavin Records which is the new name for the defunct Mo’hits Records that produced stars like D’banj, D’prince and Tiwa Savage.

He is not a Yoruba man as presumed but was born and bred in Ajegunle, Lagos State.

His father is from Isoko in Delta State. His mother is an Igbo princess from Abia state and his father is a member of the Isoko people.

Education

Micheal Collins attended the prestigious Federal Government College, Lagos. Nigeria. He later procedded to have his first degree in Business Management at the Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma, Edo state.

Don Jazzy is a divorcee as he divorced his wife in 2005.

He was married to Michelle Jackson at the age of 22 in 2003.

The claim of the divorce by Don Jazzy is that he had issues because of his ambitious nature where he was more married to his music than his wife; so that cause a total break-down in their marriage. The union didn’t produce any children.

Don Jazzy’s music career

Don Jazzy musical career started in London when he was on a musical path with JJSkillz, Jesse Jagz, Dbanji, SOLEK and the 419 Squad.

He later moved back to Nigeria to form the Mo’hits records. In 2004 he collaborated with D’banj to produce an album No Long Thing that made them become very popular.

Don Jazzy later brought in Wande Coal and produced an album titled Mushin 2 Mo’Hits which was an instant hit and was described then as the best album to be produced by a Nigerian.

He also co-produced American rapper, Kanye West’s song, Lift off which had music heavyweights, Beyonce and Jay-Z on it.

Don Jazzy, according to various online predictions, is worth between $10 million and $25 million. Meanwhile, this cannot be independently verified and there is no reputable net worth estimator like Forbes to confirm this.

Betway, a betting platform, unveiled Don Jazzy as its ambassador for the 2020 edition of the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality TV show.
