How to check JAMB centre
As a UTME candidate, you need to know your JAMB centre as early as possible to avoid going to the wrong centre on your exam date.
What is JAMB Centre?
After completing your JAMB registration, you will be assigned a particular examination centre, exam venue, exam date, and exam time.
You may ask, “But how do I check my JAMB centre?”
Well, it’s easier than you think.
In this article, we will walk you through how to check your JAMB centre and other important things.
Reprinting Your JAMB Examination Slip
After completing your JAMB registration, you need to reprint your examination slip in a few weeks. This is to know your centre, exam date, venue, and time of examination.
You will see the exam date and venue in full detail on the reprinted slip.
Your examination date will be presented in a format such as Tuesday, May 15, 2022, By 8:30 AM. This means you are writing your examination in the morning, beginning at 8:30 AM.
However, you should arrive at your Venue at least 30 minutes earlier to join the queue of participants.
How can I Check My JAMB Examination Center And Venue?
To check your JAMB centre and venue, you need to visit the JAMB official portal for checking the exam venue. To do so, click here.
Next, fill in the space provided with your JAMB registration number and press the “Print button” to print your examination slip that contains your exam centre, venue, date, and time.
How Much Do CBT Centres Charge for Registration?
Based on the information announced by the JAMB management, the total cost of JAMB registration for 2022 is N4,700.
According to JAMB management, it is unlawful for any CBT centre to charge any amount higher than this.
However, you should make a budget of N5,000 because you may need to make some photocopies of your registration form at the CBT centre. You may also need to transport yourself to and fro.
The N4,700 registration fees include:
1. Epins
The Epins cost N3,500
2. Use of English textbook
This costs N500
3. CBT Charges
JAMB stipulated a CBT charge of N1,000 only (initially N700).
For candidates interested in Mock-Up, an additional N1,000 applies (initially N700).
