A presidential aspirant and national leader of the All Progressives Congress,  Asiwaju Bola  Tinubu, on Thursday, opened up on his role in the emergence of Major-General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) as the President in 2015.

The former Lagos State governor, while addressing the Ogun State APC delegates at the Presidential Lodge, Abeokuta, said  Buhari,  after losing 2003, 2007 and 2011 presidential elections,  vowed not to contest again. Read more.

2. N500 million loans given to Nigerian farmers [NewsWireNGR]

Nigeria Incentive-Based Risk Sharing System for Agricultural Lending, NIRSAL, says no fewer than 4,630 farmers in Nasarawa State have received loans from the agency since 2017 when it began operation in the state.

NIRSAL, an agency under the Central Bank of Nigeria, was established to create a link between the agricultural value chain and the financial sector in order to boost productivity, food security, and the profitability of agric business in Nigeria. Read more.

The  Kaduna State Urban Planning and Development Authority (KASUPDA) has banned the use of analogue billboards within the state capital, Kaduna.

The Director-General, KASUPDA, Umaru Dikko, made the announcement while presenting a digital installation contract document with a private firm, Afivent Digital Services Limited, on Thursday in Kaduna. Read more.

4. I made you Governor – Tinubu slams Dapo Abiodun of Ogun for being an “ingrate” [NewsWireNGR]

Presidential aspirant and national leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, has claimed that he made Dapo Abiodun the governor of Ogun State.

5. Money Laundering: Mompha ready to strike a deal with EFCC

A special offences court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos State on Thursday adjourned the money laundering trial of internet celebrity, Ismaila Mustapha, also known as Mompha to June 10 for plea bargain agreement with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)

By June 10, 2022, it is expected that both the EFCC and Mompha would have reached a final agreement in the proposed plea bargain over alleged N6billion money laundering charge against the suspect. Read more.
