Tesla CEO and new Twitter owner, Elon Musk has disclosed that the microblogging platform may charge commercial and government users while remaining free for “casual users”.

He further said; “Twitter will always be free for casual users, but maybe a slight cost for commercial/government users”.

Reacting, a Nigerian Twitter user, @90sSophie, said such development is “Nigeria govt route to loot money.”

Other Nigerian users however commented probable headlines that would be reported if such idea is implemented.

@special_person_ envisioned “We spent 60 billion naira on government tweets—-Nigerian government” would be reported in 2023.

@tedmanvibes joked; “You’ll now be hearing something Like Twitter Allowance”.
