Nigerians react as Elon Musk says Twitter may charge commercial, government users

Tesla CEO and new Twitter owner, Elon Musk has disclosed that the microblogging platform may charge commercial and government users while remaining free for “casual users”.
In a tweet on Tuesday, Musk cited the case of Freemasons claiming, “Ultimately, the downfall of the Freemasons was giving away their stonecutting services for nothing”.
He further said; “Twitter will always be free for casual users, but maybe a slight cost for commercial/government users”.

Reacting, a Nigerian Twitter user, @90sSophie, said such development is “Nigeria govt route to loot money.”
Other Nigerian users however commented probable headlines that would be reported if such idea is implemented.
@special_person_ envisioned “We spent 60 billion naira on government tweets—-Nigerian government” would be reported in 2023.
@tedmanvibes joked; “You’ll now be hearing something Like Twitter Allowance”.
