APC’s presidential aspirant, Adamu Garba, proposes Nigeria should be renamed ‘Nigritia’
Controversial presidential aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adamu Garba, has proposed that Nigeria should be renamed to Nigritia.
He tweeted on Tuesday, “If Ghana can change its name from the Colonial Gold Coast, Kenya from British East Africa, Benin from Dahomey, Togo from Togoland, etc, why would Nigeria maintain a colonially induced name? We should rename this country back to its pre-colonial NIGRITIA. Identity is everything”.
NewsWireNGR had earlier reported Adamu Garba expressed shock at the N100 million pegged price for the presidential nomination of the APC.
In his latest update, he posted; “So far, we have recorded 365 transactions as at 26/04/2022 and generated the sum of N1,258,905.30 in value of online payments in the last 72 hours.
“We do sincerely appreciate Nigerians for trusting in us for a brighter future. Let’s keep it coming, we’ll get there, insha Allahu.”
