Cristiano Ronaldo announces death of child

Portuguese professional footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo, has announced the passing of one of his newborn twins. 

The footballer shared this in a joint statement with his partner of 6 years via Instagram. 

The statement reads “It is with deepest sadness that we announce the passing of our baby boy. It’s the greatest pain any parent can feel.

“Only the birth of our baby gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness. We would like to thank the doctors and nurses for all the care and support provided.

“We are all devastated and ask for privacy at this very difficult time. Our boy you are our angel. We will love you forever.”

The couple announced in October of 2021 that they were expecting twins, a boy and a girl.
