US rapper, Rick Rosss shares what it take to make money
William Leonard Roberts II, the talented American rapper professionally known as Rick Ross, has charged the youths in Nigeria to set themselves apart by outworking their peers.
The US rapper addressed an audience about his journey to success after his arrival in Lagos for an Easter concert.
“What I do want to say to youngsters, the young black boys around, is to make sure we spend time wisely. We have to make sure we outwork everyone around us, it’s important. I was a youngster. It’s what I told myself. I wanted to outwork everybody.
“Hustling and work is what makes you get money. Nobody will give you shit. You have to separate yourself from everybody in the room. How do you do that? Outwork them,” he said.
His Lagos show themed ‘Rick Ross Live in Lagos’ which took place on April 14 at Eko Hotel and Suite, Victoria Island featured Davido, Tiwa Savage, Mayorkun, DJ Obi, The Cavemen, Fave, DJ Yin.
Rick Ross had last visited Nigeria in 2012 when he stormed Lagos for the Summer Jam Fest Concert.
