Lady calls out MGK for fetishizing women in resurfaced video

American rapper, Colson Baker, stage name ‘Machine Gun Kelly’ or MGK for short, has been called out for making sexual comments about Black women at the 2012 BET Awards as seen in a resurfaced video. 

The video was shared by Alice Glass, a former vocalist for the Canadian band Crystal Castles. 

She took to twitter in March 21 to share the video, with a trigger warning disclaimer for the video she described as disturbing. 

In the video, MGK is being interviewed by a black lady and states “Black girls give the best head”. 

At the end of the video, a black woman behind the interviewer is put off by the statements and attempts ti leave, but the rapper calls her a “Bitch”. 

Alice in her follow up tweets, describes this behavior as MGK fetishizing black women in a disrespectful way. 

Her tweets read “why, as a white man, would you ever talk like this? fetishizing black women and in such a disrespectful way!?” 

“show respect for Black Women who’s culture you are appropriating. apologize for this @machinegunkelly this was beyond disgusting”

“but all this isnt just about one artist. there is a bigger picture here.” 

“this is about how men who act like this are still given power and opportunities in an industry that willfully perpetuates sexist, racist and abusive behavior. it needs to change”
