Dr (Mrs) Ebelechukwu Obiano, the wife of the immediate past governor of Anambra state has reacted to a slap drama that went viral during the inauguration of Charles Soludo as new governor of the state.

NewsWireNGR had earlier reported that in the viral video, Mrs Bianca Ojukwu was seen to have slapped Obiano’s wife after the latter walked up to her.

Reacting to the event, Ebele Obiano in a statement signed by her media aide, Chidiebele Obika, said “Mrs Obiano has expressed shock over the attitude of Amb. Bianca Ojukwu who ostensibly was seen in a viral video when she “slapped” her, albeit unprovoked during the inauguration of Prof. Soludo as the 6th democratically elected Governor of the state on Thursday, March 17, 2022.”

In the statement, Osodieme recalled that all she did was  approach the former beauty queen for their usual friendly banters only to be “slapped” and pushed by Mrs. Bianca Ojukwu.

“She wondered what could cause  so much anger and hate that a former diplomat could not manage herself in public. Mrs. Obiano stated that she didn’t bother to slap her back, but rather walked away in utter bewilderment”, the statement concluded.

Meanwhile, Bianca Ojukwu, while narrating her side of the story claimed “She (Ebelechukwu) arrived some one-and-a-half hours later while the ceremony was on. I didn’t pay any particular attention to her arrival. Surprisingly, she then walked towards me and I thought she was coming to greet me. Instead, when she got to where I was seated, she verbally attacked me with her voiced raised, taunting me and asking me what I was there to do and using unprintable vile language.

“She asked if I had come to celebrate their last day in office.  But I ignored her completely. Then, she kept aggressively putting her hands on my shoulders and shouting. While I ignored her verbal onslaught, as advised by those sitting around me, I requested twice that she refrained from touching me with her hands.

“She proceeded to do so yet again and went further to grab at my headtie, which she attempted unsuccessfully to remove.”
