Video: NDLEA arrests woman, five others in Lagos Island with 6,000kg of drugs
Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, have arrested a suspected illicit drug kingpin on Lagos Island. The operation took place in the Patey area of Lagos Island on Saturday.
NDLEA in an update on its Twitter handle said, “We got her and five others with almost 6,000kg of drugs despite attacks on our men.”
In a response to the raid, the commission wrote, “A lot of fake narratives have been going on on what happened at Petty area of Lagos Island earlier today”.
The statement posted on Twitter Saturday read in parts, “Please disregard them”.
“Truth is our operatives went for the arrest of a major drug kingpin and we got her and 5 others with almost 6,000kg of drugs despite attacks on our men”, the statement concluded.
