“You will become the President…but after me.” – Tinubu tells young people

Presidential Aspirant, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has stated that Nigerian youths will become president, however, it will be after he has become one. Tinubu, a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, has been meeting and consulting with key stakeholders as part of activities before formally declaring his intention to contest the number one seat in the country.

He said this during a visit to the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi on Sunday.

Speaking in Yoruba, he said, “You won’t give room for the elderly to pass and you haven’t become president. What if you become president, you will chase us out of town?”

“You will grow old, you will become president but I will become president first.”

Bola Tinubu met with traditional rulers in Oyo state on Sunday.

As part of his consultation tour, the former Lagos governor met with Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi, the Alaafin of Oyo, and Lekan Balogun, the Olubadan designate.
