1. Adulterated fuel: Marketers fear court cases, FG hints at compensation for damaged vehicles [Punch Newspaper]

Consumers of Premium Motor Spirit, popularly called petrol, are allegedly arresting workers and owners of filling stations over the sale of adulterated products that have reportedly affected their vehicles’ engines.

2. Bad fuel: Scarcity worsens, costs, storage delay removal [Vanguard Newspaper]

One week after detection of bad petrol in some states of the federation, evacuation is yet to start due mainly to huge volume of the product, logistics and costs to be borne in the process of moving it from depots and filling stations to designated points.

3. N450m debt: Oyo government, IBEDC in war of power [NewsWireNGR]

It is a war of power (political Vs electrical power) in Oyo state as the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) has disconnected power supply to the state government over N450 million owed the company.

The Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, has disclosed the Federal Executive Council, FEC, on Wednesday approved citizenship to 286 foreign nationals out of the 600 who applied.

Aregbesola stated this at the end of the virtual Federal Executive Council, FEC, meeting, presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari, at the Council Chamber, Presidential Villa, Abuja. Read more.

5. Alleged N5.2bn fraud: Drama as ex-JAMB registrar’s lawyer testifies against him [NewsWireNGR]

A legal practitioner, Peter Oyewole, on Wednesday, testified against the former Registrar, Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof. Adedibu Ojerinde, In the Federal High Court, Abuja.

Oyewole told Justice Obiora Egwuatu that Ojerinde engaged him as his personal lawyer while serving as the chief executive of JAMB. Read more.
