BBNaija’s Whitemoney recounts life struggle before fame
Nigerian singer, songwriter and winner of BBNaija season 6, Hazel Oyeze Onou, stage name Whitemoney is recounting an experience from his past before fame.
In a circulating viral video, while walking down memory lane, the singer shared he lived in Kujaba, Kaduna state with his mother, and they were too broke to buy food at the time.
He took it upon himself to work for money sometimes and one of those times, he cleared gutters and faeces for two hundred Naira so he could buy food for himself and his mother.
The singer explained he had to use his hands to clear out the rubbish in the gutters of his compound and the next compound, and when he was done, he would get paid two hundred Naira from each home in the compounds he worked in.
He said, “I helped the whole compound and the other compound to pack their faeces and use my hands to clear the gutter at the back of the house so water can flow”.
