VIDEO: Fresh update on health status of popular Islamic cleric, Sheikh Habeeb

Ustadh Moshood Yesaloonaka, a close associate of Sheikh Habeeb Adam Al-Ilory, the Director of Markaz Arabic and Islamic Training Centre, Agege, Lagos, has quashed reports that he slumped.

Yesaloonaka, in a Facebook Live on Monday evening monitored by NewsWireNGR, also debunked reports that Sheikh Habeeb suffered a stroke. He said the preacher “only needs a slight rest”.

“I shouldn’t have come out to do this. But I couldn’t take it anymore. Baba (Sheikh Habeeb) neither slumped at Belgore’s daughter wedding, nor suffered stroke.

“He sat down back himself at the programme. As we speak, he is eating, drinking, and resting. He only needs rest. Do not mind the rumour-mongers,” Yesaloonaka said in his native Yoruba.

Recall news filtered in earlier this week that Sheikh Habeeb suffered a stroke during last Thursday’s Nikkah ceremony of the daughter of former Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Alfa Belgore.

According to an online newspaper report (not NewsWireNGR), a top medical officer in the hospital confirmed that the cleric suffered a stroke and had been admitted at the Stroke Unit of the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH).
