Timaya excited as his song retains top 10 on Apple Chart
Nigerian singer Inetimi Timaya Odon, stage name ‘Timaya’, is excited about his song maintaining a spot on the Apple Top 100 Nigeria list.
The singer shared via his verified Twitter account on Monday, February 7, 2022 in a tweet that his song ‘Cold Outside’ has been on the top 10 of the chart for 15 weeks, and the photo he shared, shows his song as number 10 on the list.
“15 weeks & we’re still Top 10!! Super #ColdOutside” he wrote.
Timaya rise to the limelight in 2007 with his hit single ‘Dem Mama’ and ‘Ogologomma’. In 2008, the singer released his second album ‘Gift and Grace’ which saw him win Album of the Year” at Nigeria Music Awards and “Best Reggae/Dancehall album” at the Headies Awards.
The singer won multiple awards between 2008 and 2018. He was launched to the international scene with his 2014 hit single ‘Ukwu’.
In 2011, Timaya was appointed a Peace Ambassador by the Interreligious and International Federation for World Peace (IIFWP).
