‘I hate to glamorise my life’: I work really hard — DJ Cuppy

Nigerian disk jockey and music producer Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola, stage name ‘DJ Cuppy’ has revealed she isn’t just glamorizing her life, but works hard.

The Snapchat story reads “Being a FULL time student at Oxford Uni and Part time radio presenter at BBC is NOT easy. I hate to glamorise my life. I work really HARD. No other way to put it!”.

She shared this via her Snapchat account on Sunday February 6, 2022, after she shared a short video of a ride to her job at BBC, and in the video she notes that it is just some minutes 5am, and she is on her way to work while others are sleeping.

DJ Cuppy is the second daughter of businessman, former chairman of Forte Oil PLC, and the founder of Zenon Petroleum and Gas Ltd, Femi Otedola. She grew up in Lagos and moved to London when she was 13.

She has a BSc in Business and Economics from Kings College, London, a master’s degree in music business from New York University, and is currently studying for a master’s degree in African Studies at the University of Oxford which she hopes to complete in 2022.
