Hoodlums attack Aregbesola’s campaign office ahead of Osun Governorship election primaries

Hoodlums suspected to be political thugs, on Thursday evening, attacked Oranmiyan House, the Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola’s campaign office located in Osogbo, Osun State capital.

The thugs, according to eyewitnesses, about five in number with guns, were allegedly shooting directly into the four-storey building.

The incident, according to eyewitnesses, happened around 5:20 pm on Thursday.

In the meantime, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has released a revised timetable and schedule of activities for the conduct of the 2022 Governorship Primary Election in Osun State. 

The party also fixed the sale of the forms at N22.5million and the nomination form at N20 million. The expression of interest form costs N2.5million while female aspirants and physically challenged aspirants are to pay 50% of the prescribed fees.

This was disclosed in a notice signed by the National Secretary, APC Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC), John James Akpanudoedehe.

He explained that the timetable is in accordance with the provisions of the Electoral Act 2010 (as amended) and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) guidelines.
