Media Personality, Noble Igwe has on Sunday, reacted to the spate of “ritual killings” in Nigeria in light of the recent events involving an 18-year-old in Ogun State.

IF you recall, NewsWireNGR had reported that there was confusion in Oke Aregba community in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital, on Saturday, when some teenage boys were caught burning the skull of a girl, said to be in a relationship with one of them, for alleged money rituals.

In his post on Twitter, he said, “The church will take donations from anyone with money, the village will crown anyone with money, no questions asked”.

“Families don’t ask their children how they make their money and some don’t care. It’s the society that feeds this monster,” the media personality added while blaming the family unit.

He added “People will post three skits in a year and then post a house they just bought, people will appear in two movies then post “new me, new house”.

“Thing is, we celebrate all types of questionable wealth”.

The Ogun State Police Command has arrested the fleeing suspect who reportedly masterminded the killing of his girlfriend, Soliu Majekodunmi.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Abimbola Oyeyemi, in an update on the killing of a girl identified as Rofia by four teenagers in Abeokuta, said the leader of the gang has been arrested.

Oyeyemi had confirmed that four teenagers had slaughtered and burnt the skull of Rofia after her boyfriend, Soliu, lured her to his house in Oke-Aregna.

The slain girl was a resident of Idi-Ape Abeokuta and was a girlfriend to Soliu, who is now in the police net.

Noble is not the first to react to these events, earlier, Singer, Timaya, had urged Nigerians to be wary of the evil in society as even their best friends could use them for money rituals.

Timaya was reacting to reports of teenage boys slaughtering a girlfriend and burning her head for money ritual in Ogun State.

Timaya wrote in a tweet via his Twitter handle on Saturday evening: “17 years old boys doing money ritual?

He continued, “Innocent humans, killed for money, even your own homeboy can use you”.

“Watch out guys, it’s really cold outside,” he added.
