American singer, rapper and music producer Christopher Maurice Brown, stage name Chris Brown has been sued for $20 million for alleged sexual assault.
The victim, an American woman who identifies as a singer and dancer didn’t file criminal charges to keep her identity secret.
According to reports, while attending a party at Diddy’s (an American rapper) mansion on Star Island in Florida, Chris Brown invited an unidentified woman to spend time with him for the evening.
After she arrived, he invited her onto the yatch parked at the private dock of Diddy’s mansion and offered her a drink which she drank.
The unidentified woman stated that not long after she finished her drink, she started to feel dizzy and was drifting in and out of sleep, similar to someone who may have been drugged.
Chris Brown proceeded to lead her to a private room at the bottom of the yacht and he closed the door behind him to prevent her from leaving, undressed her amiss her protesting and proceeded to have sexual intercourse with her.
When he was done with his act, he jumped up and said “done”, then called her the next day to demand that she purchased a contraceptive pill.
This incident reportedly occurred in 2020 and the supposed victim did not report it at the time because she was still in medical school, however she has filed a law suit against Chris Brown because she continues to feel extreme emotional distress stemming from the assault.
Chris Brown has however come into his Instagram story to make a statement after this law suit has gone public.
On Friday, the singer wrote “I HOPE YALL SEE THIS PATTERN OF (cap emoji), Whenever I’m releasing music or projects, ‘THEY’ try to pull some real bullshit.”
It is still unclear what pattern the singer is referring to, but this statement came after the law suit went public.
