2023: Tired from travels, Tinubu jets out to rest after consulting

Presidential hopeful, Bola Tinubu, has reportedly left the country to rest and seek medical attention after trips of consulting ahead of his 2023 ambition.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) national leader and former Lagos state governor was observed to be absent t the inauguration of the working committees of a new movement in support of his ambition, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (ABAT), in GRA, Ikeja, Lagos.

According to a report by ThisDay, Tinubu is believed to have been tired from the trips, Tinubu was said to have seen the need to quickly take a break, rest and also see his doctors outside the country.

Although some sources hinted he travelled to London, others were not particularly sure of his destination but could confirm he had since left the country to rest and also run some medical check-ups.

Tinubu after his consultation meeting with former Military President, Ibrahim Babangida, claimed (Babangida) prayed for success for his presidential ambition.

Governor of Oyo State, ‘Seyi Makinde, while receiving Tinubu wished him well in his quest to become the president of Nigeria while noting he wants the best for Nigeria.

Meanwhile, former Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Bode George has claimed it is an insult to Nigerians for someone like Bola Ahmed Tinubu to contest for presidency.

The former military governor of Ondo State in an interview with Vanguard said his assertion was based on the consideration of Tinubu’s past.

Speaking, “Let me remind him (Tinubu) because he is a Yoruba man. In my part of the world, kingmakers are called afobaje.

“When you are a kingmaker, you do not throw yourself in the ring and say you want to be king.”
