American comedian, Louie Anderson, is dead

American actor and comedian, Louis Perry Anderson, stage name Louie Anderson has passed away at the age of 68.

According to Glenn Schwartz, the actor’s publicist, the Emmy award-winning star passed away on Friday while being treated for a type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma, Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma (DLBCL).

Louie Anderson was an American actor, stand up comedian, and game show host. His career took off in 1984 when he made his debut comedian appearance on The Tonight Show.

He landed roles on multiple TV shows and movies, Coming to America, and Family Feud where he landed the role of show host in 1999.
