Supporters determined to ensure Tinubu emerges APC Candidate 

A coalition of Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s support groups says they are determined to ensure that the former Lagos State Governor emerges the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 election.

The coalition disclosed this at a meeting in Abuja on Monday.

In attendance at that meeting were some top APC leaders including the former governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima, Former SGF, Bashir Lawal, and others.

While declaring their preference for direct primaries, the group stated that their main objective includes ensuring that Tinubu becomes the APC candidate, irrespective of the methods of choosing a flag bearer.

In his welcome remarks, Mr. Bashir said the APC has not been able to achieve the objectives of its founding fathers.

According to him, the ruling party has not been able to operate as a party, across the 36 states, making it difficult for the APC to deliver on its promises.
