2023: PDP governors meet in Port Harcourt to strategise

The governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have scheduled Monday for a meeting in Port Harcourt to strategise and evaluate issues in the party ahead of the 2023 general elections.

This was announced by the Director-General of the PDP Governors’ Forum, Cyril Maduabum.

Maduabum said the meeting which is the first of its kind in 2022 will review the state of the governors’ states, the nation and the All Progressives Congress (APC), the leading opposition.

The meeting is expected to be chaired by the Forum’s chairman and governor of Sokoto state, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal.

The party governors were also claimed to have been working in consultation with the party leaders, notably the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) chairman, Dr Iyorchia Ayu.

According to Maduabum, “Dr Ayu is invited to attend the meeting to hold consultations with the governors on strategies for executing the rescue and rebuild Nigeria project”.
