AFCON 2021: Super Eagles crush Sudan in 3-1 win
Nigeria national men football team, Super Eagles, have again shown they are title contender in the AFCON 2021 tournament as they defeated another rival, Sudan.
The Super Eagles in their first match defeated Egypt, a team considered the favourite for the trophy.
Their second match win has guaranteed them a spot in the second round of the tournament.
Samuel Chukwueze opened scoring three minutes into the game, stroking home from a Moses Simon pass.
Taiwo Awoniyi got the second after a Troost-Ekong header bounced off the striker and beat the Sudanese goalkeeper who should have done better.
The third goal was delivered by Moses Simon after the second half began.
Sudan sole goal was a penalty after a foul committed by Ola Aina in the penalty box.
