2Baba acknowledges Adekunle Gold for his achievements in music

Award-winning producer, singer and entrepreneur, Innocent Ujah Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba has enthusiastically announced his support for Adekunle Kosoko, known professionally as Adekunle Gold, on his (2Baba) Instagram page.

The African Queen singer, on Thursday, shared on his Instagram page how amazed he is by Adekunle Gold’s success and transformation over the past two years.

He also expressed his bewilderment about it not being a major topic.

2Baba’s Instagram story slide post reads “I just want to assume that it’s only me that noticed that AGbaby Smashed the last 2 years with hits back 2 back?”

“plus the maddest transformation Abi I no well??” (sic)

Adekunle Good started his journey with music when he wrote his first song at the age of 15.

He then formed a band in school with his friends but went solo in 2014 and went on to release his first hit single, Sade (a cover of One Direction’s Story of My Life) in 2016, after he signed a record deal with YBNL, a Nigerian record label founded by Olamide in 2012.

In 2016, the Sade crooner won two Nigerian Entertainment Awards: Best New Act, and Best Song of the Year, for his single, Pick Up. He also won Best Alternative Song for Sade at The Headies.

In 2017, he won two City People Music Awards for Best Collabo of the year “No forget” and Album of the year for his album Gold.

Adekunle Gold, has over the past two years, released a couple of hit singles back to back, and some notable mentions are It Is What It Is, High, and Sinner.

It’s also worthy to mention, the Award-winning singer’s music and fashion aesthetic have indeed transformed from that of a nerdy musician to an Alté musician.
