President Muhammadu Buhari has decided to keep the name of his favourite candidate for the 2023 presidential election close to his heart to avoid him being eliminated.
The president in a special interview with Channels TV when asked “what comes to mind when you hear 2023 elections?” had responded; “it is not my problem”.
When further queried if he indeed wasn’t interested in whoever succeeds him, he replied; “No. Let him come, whoever it is.

“All important things, I made sure they are on record. Nobody should ask me to come and give any evidence in any court.
“Otherwise, whoever it is, he will be in trouble. Because all the important things are on record. I made sure about that.
However, when quizzed on who would be his favourite candidate for the presidency in his party, Buhari responded “No. I wouldn’t because he may be eliminated if I mention it. I better keep it secret.”
