Again Nollywood loses another veteran as Sam Obiago dies
Nigerian movie industry, Nollywood, has again lost another veteran actor as the chairman of Screen Writers Guild of Nigeria (SWGN), Sam Obiago, aka Daddy Sam, confirmed dead.
Announcing the death of the actor, the president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria AGN, Emeka Rollas, shared on his social media page his picture with the caption; ”Another Sad Day. RIP Daddy Sam”
He has featured in a number of movies including Gifted, Tears Of A King, Woman Of Fire, Ghana Island, Royal Turning Point, Royal Appointment, Bargain, Combined Forces, Altar Of Love, Wishes, Ancient Love, Drunk Princess, The Missing Blood, Obed And Ruth, The Visitor, Osinachi, One Night Stand, Throne Of Fire, Ancient Key, among others.
NewsWireNGR gathered that the veteran actor was a banker before quitting to pursue his acting career.
He started acting in 2013 was well known for his roles as a king and father.
Last week, Nollywood actor, Karibi Fubara, passed away after battling cancer for nearly two years. Fubara was an actor who rose to prominence after starring in ‘Before 30.’
