The Police Service Commission (PSC) is currently deliberating on a probe panel report on DSP Abba Kyari, submitted by the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Usman Baba.

This is about six months after the Special Investigation Panel (SIP) was set up by the IGP.

The SIP comprised of four (4) Senior Police Officers and headed by DIG Joseph Egbunike, the Deputy Inspector General of Police in-charge of the Force Criminal Investigations Department (FCID).

NewsWireNGR had earlier reported that ‘Super cop’ Abba Kyari was indicted by the US Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) to have been allegedly involved in a fraud of $1.1 million committed Hushpuppi.

A commissioner on the PSC, Austin Braimoh, confirmed on Sunday that the commission would deliberate on the issue this week.

He said the PSC Standing Committee on Discipline was still going through the report, adding that the report would be presented to the PSC plenary later on.

“The standing committee is still going through the report after which they would present it to the plenary for action”.
