3 Dowen College students in police custody over Sylvester’s death

Lagos state police command on Tuesday revealed three of the five students mentioned by Sylvester Omoroni Jnr are in their custody.

The Lagos state commissioner of police, CP Hakeem Odumosu disclosed this but didn’t give their identity even though he hinted they are key suspects.

Odumosu also explained that the Command is set to go for the post mortem of the body in Delta state to ascertain the cause of death.

He assured that police authorities in both Lagos and Delta State are keenly interested in the outcome of the investigation to unravel the mystery behind Sylvester’s death.

Nigerian social media platforms have been agog since the report of the 12-year-old student of Dowen College, who died from injuries he allegedly sustained from a beating by his fellow students.

According to a Twitter user, @perrisonoromoni, who claimed to be the cousin of the student identified, “they tried to put him in cult, he refused and they killed him. Secondary school o”.
