The Police in Kaduna State on Tuesday confirmed the abduction of yet to be ascertained number of students by gunmen from St. Albert the Great Institute of Philosophy.
NewsWireNGR had earlier reported that the gunmen invaded the school at about 8 pm and began shooting sporadically, causing pandemonium in the area.
A source who stays close to the school told NewsWireNGR that the operations lasted for over an hour before local hunters and vigilantes intervened and “chased the terrorists away.”
NewsWireNGR also learned that some students were abducted by the terrorists while others were injured.
The command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Jalige, confirmed the development, adding that investigations were ongoing and details would be made available later.
