Nigerian physician, Osahon Enabulele, elected President of World Medical Association

A Nigerian physician, Dr Osahon Enabulele has been elected as the new president of the World Medical Association (WMA).
Dr Enabulele, who was a former President of the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) defeated his opponent, Prof Dr Muhammad Ashraf NIZAMI, a professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and the President of the Pakistan Medical Association.
Before his emergence as the president-elect, NewsWireNGR gathered that Dr Enabulele was earlier in the year unanimously re-elected for a second term as Chairman of the Socio-Medical Affairs Committee (SMAC) of the World Medical Association.
He also currently serves as the President of the Commonwealth Medical Association, CMA.
His emergence followed an almost one week period of voting by participating National Medical Associations all over the world.
