Gunmen attack Ebonyi communities, kill 2 policemen, 2 lawyers

Tragedy struck at two communities in Ebonyi as gunmen killed no lesser than 10 persons including two police officers and eight lawyers.

NewsWireNGR gathered that the two communities affected are Isu and Onicha-Igboeze communities, of Onicha Local Government Area of the state.

The two lawyers according to eyewitnesses were burnt by the gunmen who operated in a Lexus jeep.

The unfortunate event was confirmed by the Ebonyi state police command image maker, DSP Loveth Odah.

According to DSP Odah, the details of the event are still sketchy but the state Commissioner of Police, CP Aliyu Garba has dispatched personnel to the affected communities.
