How I lured passengers to kidnappers, Kano driver narrates

A driver identified as Bashir Sule has narrated how he lured his passengers to kidnappers in Kano.

The 25-year-old notorious kidnapper was nabbed by the operatives of the police anti-kidnapping team.

The Force spokesperson, CP Frank Mba, disclosed that the suspect was arrested after the police received credible intelligence exposing his modus operandi in luring potential victims to the den of kidnappers.

Sule, it was gathered, masqueraded as a driver or passenger at roadside car parks to either pick passengers or pretend to be a passenger and join other commercial vehicles.

Along with others, they operated along Janguza and Rijin Zaki Communities which are within the axis of the Permanent site of Bayero University Kano which has largest population of students in North-West.

Narrating how he operated, Sule said; “After picking passengers or in a commercial vehicle, I secretly sent signals to colleague kidnappers to ambush the vehicle at some routes within.

“They then abducted the passengers at the designated location”.
