Storey-building collapses in Ekiti while occupants asleep, 5 rescued

Five occupants were rescued at Akure, Ondo state capital as storey-building collapsed while they were asleep.

The unfortunate event however claimed the life of a woman who was pulled out dead from the debris of the collapsed building.

An eyewitness said the body of the deceased was pulled at about 6 am.

The building located at Fanibi junction was said to have collapsed at around 3 am when occupants were asleep.

Efforts were on to rescue other occupants as at press time.
