LASU new VC, Olatunji-Bello, assumes office
Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, the newly appointed Vice-Chancellor of the Lagos State University (LASU) has on Monday assumed office.
Professor Ibiyemi is the wife of the state’s Commissioner for Environment, Tunji Bello.
She is the ninth Vice Chancellor of LASU after a rigorous exercise laced with intrigues and suspense.
She was selected the VC after two selection processes were cancelled by Sanwo-Olu following controversies that trailed the exercises.
Ibiyemi is a Professor of Physiology who had served as Acting Vice Chancellor of the institution before her appointment.

She was born on April 23, 1964 in Lagos.
Ibiyemi was welcomed into the Senate Building of the university by a crowd of workers.
