Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe has finally broke her silence and dropped a subtle reaction to her former husband, Lanre Gentry marriage to another woman.

Sharing a photo of herself just days after the wedding, Aigbe made the declaration

“Still nobody’s ex,” she wrote with a pushpin emotion for emphasis.

Recall that Gentry on Saturday tied the knot with his new bride, Oluwabusayo in a lowkey ceremony on Saturday that was attended by close family and friends.

Gentry praised his wife for being his prayer warrior and choosing to always stand by him.
He wrote, “In every journey of a man’s life, having a good wife by the side is a great blessing from God… Thank you for standing with me. Again, for understanding, supporting, persevering, tolerating, loving and above all being my prayer warrior and partner.

“My small but mighty in power wife. My cool, calm and collected wife. My great planner and organiser. My ever jovial and a light to my path wife. You make loving, marriage and life worthwhile for me to live in. Our journey has started Mrs Oluwabusayo Olanrewaju Gentry iyawo.”

Gentry and Aigbe separated 2017 over alleged domestic violence and infidelity.

On Father’s Day in June 2021, the former couple reignited their feud over a post by the actress on the occasion of this year’s Father’s Day.

Meanwhile, in a recent interview, Aigbe begged her husband to sign the divorce papers.

She said, “Please, everyone should appeal to him to sign the divorce papers. He has even refused to accept them. We are still married and not yet divorced. The divorce is not yet finalised.”

But Gentry refused to state if the divorce has been finalised. When asked in an interview with The PUNCH if he has finalised the divorce process, Gentry simply said, “I don’t have anything to say about that. When a woman leaves one’s house for about seven years, that is an automatic divorce from the person (as far as I’m concerned). I am a businessman, so I don’t like drama.”
