Again, bandits abduct 18 persons in Chikun local government Kaduna

Bandits operating in the northwest zone have again reportedly abducted 18 persons from Keke community in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna state, on Tuesday.

According to a report by Daily Trust, the assailants who came in large numbers attacked the community around 12. a.m. to carry out the abduction.

Police have however been in the area to calm the situation.

Chikun local government has previously been under attack by the terrorists despite increasing security presence.

In May, the bandits razed buildings and killed eight residents in an attack on Ungwan Gaida community, near Kurmin Kaso.

In July, at least 14 people were kidnapped following an attack by bandits at Ungwan Matari within the Sabon Tasha, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
