Police promise security as Buhari’s son weds Emir’s daughter

The Kano State Police Command has assured residents of safety and urged them to be hospitable as Yusuf Muhammadu Buhari weds his bride, Zahra Nasiru Ado-Bayero. 

The wedding Fatiha will hold in Bichi town around 1.30pm after Friday prayer. 

The father of the bride, Emir of Bichi, Alhaji Nasiru Ado-Bayero, would also be presented with the Staff of Office by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje on Saturday. 

Speaking through a statement issued by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Abdullahi Haruna, in Kano on Thursday, the command said, it is “enjoining the good people of Kano State to exhibit good manners of hospitality and courtesy they are known for and be law-abiding.” 

Kano is witnessing an influx of thousands of guests who are excited for the wedding of the only male child of the President. 

These guests include the President, former and incumbent governors, ministers, lawmakers, judges, businessmen, diplomats, relatives, friends, groups, among other well-wishers from within and outside Nigeria. 

Yusuf, 27, is a graduate of the University of Surrey, Guildford, United Kingdom, while Zahra, 19, is currently studying architecture in a university in the same country.
