Singer Waje loses father

Nigerian singer Aituaje Iruobe popularly known with her stage name, Waje is currently in mourning

Breaking the sad news of her dad’s death, on Instagram, the 40-year old songstress said she would always miss her father. 

“A girl needs a father. A girl needs her father. This girl will always love her father. This girl will dearly miss her father. Rest well daddy you will always be in our hearts!” she wrote with a photo of her father cladded in a white agbada and purple cap. 

Nigerian celebrities like Omawunmi, Korede Bello, Adunni Ade and others were in the comment section to console the singer. 

Omawunmi, a known friend of Waje wrote “Daddo! Rest well. Sisto! You are not alone.” 

“My condolences sis”, Laura Ikeji commented. 

Kaffydance said: “Omg so sorry sis . May daddy Rest well in God’s arms.” 

Actress Juliet Ibrahim wrote “my condolences hun”.
