Breaking: PDP in crisis as seven national officers resign

Opposition party Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have hit a setback in the race to the 2023 elections as seven members of the national working committee resigned.
The deputy national publicity secretary, deputy legal adviser, deputy women leader, amongst others, cited “bad treatment” by the PDP national chairman, Uche Secondus.
They also gave financial indiscipline and poor leadership as other reasons for their resignation.
A source inside the party told NewsWireNGR two weeks ago that former Senate President David Mark had summoned the leadership of the Party, and asked Party Chairman Uche Secondus to step aside ahead of the 2023 elections.
