BREAKING: Sound Sultan is dead

Veteran singer Olanrewaju Fasasi, popularly known as Sound Sultan, has passed away aged 44.  

Sound Sultan whose name is Olanrewaju Abdul-Ganiu Frasasi died on Sunday following a battle with Angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma.

His death was announced in a short statement signed by his family on Sunday. 

The statement by Dr Kayode Fasasi read:  “IN OUR HEARTS FOREVER. 

“It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of multitalented veteran singer, rapper, songwriter Olanrewaju Fasasi a.k.a Soundsultan. He passed away at the age of 44 following a hard fought battle with Angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma.

“He is survived by his wife, three children and his siblings. We his family will appreciate the utmost privacy as we come to grips with this tragic loss.”
