Just in: Gunmen attack Nuhu Bamali Polytechnic, Kaduna; abduct students, lecturers

Students and lecturers of the Nuhu Bamali Polytechnic have been abducted when gunmen stormed the campus located in Zaria local government, Kaduna.

The number of students and lecturers abducted in the Thursday night attack have not been ascertained

NewsWireNGR gathered that student was shot at while many others sustained varying degrees of injuries. An eyewitness also told The Punch that the gunmen invaded the school located along the Zaria-Kaduna Expressway last night.

“The gunmen attacked the school last night. Unspecified numbers of students and lecturers were said to have been abducted,” said the eyewitness.

Information about the abduction remains unclear so far.

The northern region has recently experienced an increasing number of mass kidnappings of students that has at some point forced shutdown of schools.
