BREAKING: Senate observe a minute silence in honour of Gulak

The Senate, on Tuesday, observed a minute silence in honour of Ahmed Gulak, a former Political Adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan.

Gulak was murdered in cold blood by gunmen while driving to the airport on Sunday, May 30.

The assailants intercepted and attacked a Toyota Camry cab carrying Ahmed Gulak and two others at Umueze Obiangwu in Ngor-Okpala Local Government Area close to the Airport who were on their way to Sam Mbakwe Airport to catch a flight.

The resolutions of the upper chamber followed a point of order moved by the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, at plenary.

The Senate also resolved to mandate the Senate Ad hoc Committee on the review of the 1999 Constitution to pay a condolence visit to the family of the deceased.
