COVID-19: NCDC reports 10 fresh deaths, 397 new infections

COVID-19 cases continue to be on the rise as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, released fresh 397 COVID-19 cases and 10 deaths on Monday.

The health agency revealed the figures through its daily updates on its official Twitter account. 

This latest figure means Nigeria now has 84,811 recorded cases of COVID-19, 71,357 discharged patients and 1,264 recorded deaths. 

The newly reported cases were from 17 states and the FCT and the case analysis revealed that Lagos recorded the highest rate of infection with 144 new cases, then 18 in Plateau, 48 in Kaduna, 36 in Adamawa and 22 in Rivers.

While Oyo reported 16 cases, Kebbi 10, Nasarawa and Sokoto had seven cases each.

Five cases each were confirmed in the FCT and Kano; four in Edo, Jigawa 3, Ogun and Akwa Ibom state had 2 cases, while Niger, Bauchi and Zamfara had 1 each.
