COVID-19: Nigeria records 501 new cases, 3 deaths

Nigeria continues to record increasing cases of COVID-19 as the Nigeria Centre For Disease Control, NCDC on Sunday reported 501 new cases of COVID-19 infections in the country. 

The health agency disclosed the figures through its daily updates on its official Twitter account. 

The NCDC also said that it discharged 208 community recoveries in FCT, 126 in Kaduna State and 35 in Lagos State. 

The case analysis revealed that Lagos recorded the highest rate of infection with 218 new cases, then Abuja had 112 cases, Kaduna had 53 cases, Plateau – 24, Katsina – 21, Kano – 16, Yobe – 14, Ondo – 10, Ogun – 9, Edo – 7, Bayelsa – 5, Rivers – 4, Borno – 4, Osun and Ekiti had 2 new cases each.

This newly confirmed 501 cases means Nigeria has 78,434 cases of COVID-19, 68,303 discharged patients and 1221 recorded deaths.
