Breaking: A Senior lecturer and his family have been abducted in ABU, Zaria

A senior lecturer of the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna state, has been abducted alongside his wife and daughter; The Cable reports.

The attackers broke into the residence of Bako in the early hours of Monday, according to a source.

In a statement, Awwalu Umaru, a spokesman of the university, confirmed the incident.

Recall that NewsWireNGR reported on November 15 that kidnappers abducted nine undergraduates of the French department along the Kaduna-Abuja highway while embarking on a road trip to Lagos for an academic programme.

After 6 days of kidnap, the nine abducted students were eventually released after their parents paid the ransom.
